Assalamualaikum to all brothers and sisters in Islam.
Hope that you're in the best of health and Iman Insha'Allah.

Let us share with you a hadith pertaining friendship:

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The parable of a good friend and a bad friend is that of a carrier of musk and a blacksmith. The carrier of musk will give you some, or you will buy some, or you will notice a good smell; but as for the blacksmith, he will burn your clothes or you will notice a bad smell."

[Sahih Muslim, Book of Righteousness, Hadith #6692]

The above hadith meant that if we are in the company of good people or friends , we'll tend to follow his/her good character and are influenced by their good habits. They're able to give wise and good advises to us , and lead us to the right path. Hang out with the righteous people and you'll benefit from it

If you're hanging out with the good companion , it is equivalent to being friends with a perfume seller, you'll smell good, pleasant and naturally feel good. The righteous person will bound to influence you to do deeds and Insya'Allah you'll benefit from it.

Dear brothers and sisters , do choose your companions/friend carefully as he/she might influence you towards the good or the bad. Bad companions might tarnish your reputation or worst, changed you. May Allah (swt) save us and all the believers from fall into the Hellfire Insya'Allah.

Friendship

Assalamualaikum dear brother and sisters of Islam ,
here a short yet sweet sharing from us,

Once the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was asked, "What person can be the best friend?" "He who helps you remember Allah (SWT), and reminds you when you forget Him," the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), counselled.

In this modern and advanced society, we met many different kind of people in our life , those who we called friends or companionship. At times we struggled to realise whether he/she is trustworthy or righteous. Find a companion/friend who brings you close to Allah s.w.t and constantly reminds you of your duty as a Muslim , avoid those who might lead you astray.

“A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend” (Abu Dawood & At-Tirmidhee)

The above mentioned hadith shows that we should avoid taking the misguided as friends as we too will adopt their behaviour and habits and thereby imitate certain characteristics of their disbelief. On the other hand, being close to the righteous leads to inheriting good manners and moral conduct.

Year 2011 is coming to an end in a few days time, 2012 will be a new year for all of us. Lets take this last few days of 2011 to reflect on what we have done so far throughout the year, what we have and have yet to achieve. Lets improve on ourselves and be closer to Allah s.w.t by increasing our daily supplications, dkirullah and constantly make dua. Insha'Allah we will be a better person and a better muslim. Another reminder , in whatever you do, do remember that Allah knows your intention and Allah is always with you.

An extraction from a Hadith 36: Allah Helps Those Who Help Others.

Prophet s.a.w. who said, ”.........

Allah is helping the servant as long as the servant is helping his brother

............” (Recorded in Muslim)

Masya'allah the hadith is so simple yet some people finds it difficult to help one another. This also shows us what the ideal Islamic society should look like. It is a society in which its members help each other and support each other and encourage each other to do what is best.

Hence we should help each other to do good and avoid helping others in acts that would displease Allah.

Let's Do it Because of Allah! :D

Today is the 9th day of Arafah ! Lets us all fast !

Hadhrat Abu Haraira (R.A) reports from the Holy Prophet : "Amongst all days there are none better to engage in sole worship of Allah than in the ten days of Zul-Hijjah, To observe a fast on any of these days is equivalent to fasting throughout the year, to actively engage in prayer and worship throughout any of these nights holds such rewarding values leveling with "night of power" (Laylatul-Qadr) "Tirmizi"

The ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah (the 12th and final month of the Islamic calendar) is the day of 'Arafah. It is the day when pilgrims stand on the plain of 'Arafah to pray. On this day, Muslims all over the world who do not witness the annual hajj should spend the day in fasting, in preparation for the three days festivity following 'Eid ul-Adha (the celebration marking the end of the hajj commemorating the Prophet Ibrâhîm's willingness of sacrifice).

Masha'allah we've left a day to Eid al- Adhaa which is the 10th day of Dzulhijjah. Al-Fitwah would like to wish all of you....

Eid al-Adhaa is the tenth day of Dhoo’l-Hijjah, the last (twelfth) month of the Hijri or Islamic calendar. It is, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The greatest day in the sight of Allaah, may He be blessed and exalted, the Day of Sacrifice . . .” (Reported by Abu Dawud; see also Saheeh al-Jaami‘, 1064).

It is also the greatest day of Hajj, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) told us. (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, see Saheeh al-Jaami‘, 8191).

The reason why it is described as the greatest day of the year is that it combines so many acts of worship which are not combined on any other day, such as the Eid prayer, offering the sacrifice, reciting Takbeer (glorifying Allaah), and widespread remembrance of Allaah. For the pilgrims in Makkah, it also includes offering a sacrifice, stoning the pillars representing Shaytaan (the devil), shaving the head (for men only; women merely cut a little off their hair), and performing Tawaaf (circumambulation of the Ka‘bah) and Sa‘ee (running between the two hills of Safaa and Marwa).

"Hajj" is the fifth pillar of Islam which is performed in this sacred month where muslims all over the world will perform pilgrimage in Mecca.

Assalamualaikum semua !

Eid Mubarak !

Sempena bulan syawal yang mulia ini pasti ramai yang asyik bergembira mengunjungi rumah sanak-saudara dan kawan-kawan. Sudah pasti ada pelbagai hidangan yang enak-enak belaka tersedia di setiap rumah, terutama sekali kuih-muih. Setelah sebulan berpuasa , kini tiba masanya untuk meraihkan kejayaan kita dalam berpuasa selama sebulan. Kita juga digalakkan untuk mengamalkan puasa enam di bulan syawal kerana ia mempunyai banyak hikmah dari segi kesihatan.

Selain dari itu , Rasulullah SAW bersabda (yang bermaksud) : Barang siapa yang berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan dan meneruskannya dengan enam hari di bulan Syawal, maka (pahalanya) seolah-olah berpuasa selama setahun. (Hadis riwayat Muslim).

Contoh hikmah puasa enam ialah , Puasa enam ini memberikan ruang kembali kepada sistem pencernaan badan untuk berehat dan bertugas secara beransur-ansur untuk kebaikan jasmani manusia itu sendiri. Ini kerana apabila tiba bulan syawal, pelbagai juadah hari raya akan dimakan , maka ia akan memberi kejutan kepada sistem percernaan. (digestive system).

Semoga segala amalan kita diterima Allah s.w.t dan kita akan diberi ganjaran di akhirat kelak. Ameen. Terus kan amalan-amalan kita di hari atau bulan yang akan datang , janganlah kita hanya memperbanyakkan ibadah kita pada bulan Ramadhan , hendaklah kita mengamalkannya di bulan-bulan yang lain.

Salam Nuzul Quran to all brothers and sisters of Islam !

Alhamdulliah , we've reached to the 17th day of the fasting month. Masha'Allah time flies fast !

Lets reflect upon ourselves, what have we done so far in this Ramadhan ?

Have we done much deeds?

Have we give charity to the needy ?

Have we recite the Al-Quran?

Have open our hearts to those who have wronged us and forgive us and beg forgiveness to Allah s.w.t to forgive us ?

Let us use these remaining Ramadhan in improving ourselves by making the most of this ramadhan. Seek forgiveness from Allah s.w.t , recite the Holy Kitab Of Al-Quran , give charity and do good deeds.

Treat this Ramadhan as your last. It only comes once a month of the year and let us make the most of this Ramadhan.

Have a great and meaningful Ramadhan all, Insha'Allah (:

Heres a checklist for us:

1) Intend to fast every day with Iman and pure intention seeking the reward from Allah alone. The Prophet peace be upon him said, “Whoever fasts in Ramadan with Iman and

seeking reward (from Allah) his past sins will be forgiven”. (Bukhari)

2) Avoid anything that diminishes the fast such as, lying, backbiting, cheating, getting angry. The Prophet peace be upon him said “Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others,

Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink.”

[Bukhari]

One more day ! One More Day !

Lets perform our best in this Holy month. Reflect upon ourselves on what we've done thus far this year and the previous years. We should recognize our shortcomings in doing acts of worship such as praying in congregation; remembering Allah (Zikr); paying attention to the rights of neighbors, relatives, and the Muslims; spreading the greeting of salam; enjoining good and forbidding evil; urging one another to follow the truth and be patient and steadfast in doing so; being patient in avoiding evil actions and in doing good deeds; and accepting the decree of Allah with patience.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also stated in his sermon

“O people!, the gates of Paradise remain open during this month. Pray to your Lord that they may not be closed for you. While the gates of Hell are closed, pray to your Lord that they never open for you. Satan has been chained, invoke your Lord not to let him dominate you. Indeed!, miserable is the one who is deprived of Allah’s forgiveness in this great month.. “

Dear brothers and sisters of Islam , lets take this opportunity to perform the best in this Ramadhan. Turn to Allah before we return to Him.

What is a Muslim who forgets the commands of His religion?

It's a beautiful Monday and it'll be a wonderfull week ahead of us Insha'Allah (:
We'd like to share with you about Love in Islam ( Al-Hubb Al-Islam )

Ibn Abbas reported that Messenger of Allah (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said : "The strongest faith is to be sincere for the sake of Allah , to hate for the sake of Allah(Tabarra), to love for the sake of Allah (Tawalla) , and to discard for the sake of Allah."

Love in Islam is broadly catagorised Into : Love for Allah s.w.t , Love for Prophet Muhammad S.a.w and his household (Ahlul Bayt ) and love for he faithful.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah(may Allah be pleased with him ), who said that the Prophet (PBUH) said :Allah the Almighty said :

I am as My servant thinks I am (1). I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself , I makes mention of him to Myself ; and if he make mention of Me in an assembly ,I make mention of him in an assemble better than it. And if he draws near to Me an arm's lenghth, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at a speed.

Related by al-Buhkari(also by Muslim , at-Tirmidhi and Ibn-Majah )

Subahanallah ! Allah most forgiving and most merciful. Show our love by remembering Allah s.w.t wherever we are. Perform our prayers and make good deeds. (;

Surely Ustaz Raden Naufal's takzirah benefited us all and hopefully we'll able to reflect apon it. Masha'Allah the number of people who came was really great & we hope that we'll meet again in the next Nur Night Episode 3. Do spread around about Nur Night to your fellow friends and hopefully we'll have more people in the next Nur Night ( The more the happier right ? (: ) Insha'Allah ! Abu Sa'eed Khudari (R.A) says, "When Rasulullah (S.A.W) put on a new garment, he would in happiness mention that garment's name. For example, 'Allah Ta'aala gave me this qamis (thowb, kurtah), 'amaamah (turban) sheet, etc"

Then recited this du'aa: 'Allahumma lakal hamdu kama kasauw-tanihi, as-aluka khayrahu wa-khayra ma-suni'a lahu wa-a'u- dhu bika min sharrihi wa-sharri ma-suni'a lahu'.

"Oh Allah, all praise and thanks to You for clothing me with this (garment). I ask You for the good of it and the good of what it was made for, and I ask Your protection from the evil of it and the evil of what it was made for."

He said:"You have spoken rightly", and we were amazed at him asking him and saying that he had spoken rightly. He said: "Then tell me about eman."He said:"It is to believe in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and to believe in divine destiny, both the good and the evil thereof." He said:"You have spoken rightly". He said: "Then tell me about ehsan." He said: "It is to worship Allah as though you are seeing Him, and while you see Him not yet truly He sees you". He said: "Then tell me about the Hour". He said: "The one questioned about it knows no better than the questioner." He said: "Then tell me about its signs." He said: "That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and that you will see the barefooted, naked, destitute herdsman competing in constructing lofty buildings." Then he took himself off and I stayed for a time. Then he said: "O Omar, do you know who the questioner was?" I said: "Allah and His messenger know best". He said: "He was Jebreel (Gabriel), who came to you to teach you your religion."

O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it.'"

Alhamdulillah! We're in the month of Rabiulawwal , the month in which our Prophet s.a.w
was born... Do spend some time reading this brief article regarding our second pillar of Islam which is the obligatory prayers that are performed five times a day.

Hadhrat Abu Hurairah (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Will there remain any impurity on a person who baths five times a day in a river flowing in front of his house?" The people said: "No impurity will remain on him." Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "This is the effect of the five Salaat. By means of it, Allah Ta'ala purifies the performer of all sins."(Bukhari, Muslim).

Translation of the call of prayer :

God is Great.

I testify that there is none worthy of worship except God.

I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God. I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God.

Come to prayer!

Come to success!

God is Great!

God is Great! There is none worthy of worship except God

"Young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask of Allah; if you seek help, seek help of Allah. Know that if the Nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, it would benefit you only with something that Allah had already prescribed for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with anything, they would harm you only with something Allah had already prescribed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried." ( Ahmad, Tirmidhi).

But those who believe and do good works, for them are Gardens through which streams flow. That is the great triumph.

Al-Fitwah, the youth wing of Al-Mawaddah, will be opening a booth for GARAGE SALE and RECRUITMENT DRIVE for youth that would like to be member of Al-Fitwah.

SO come down and buy all the garage sale items; pants, shirts, baju kurong, etc. Reasonable price is charged for each item.

Gather all your friends and family members and get down to AL-MAWADDAH. This will be a good chance to strengthen your bonds between each other. :D

This video is made for Ustaz Khairul. FYI, Our current YDo, Ustaz Khairul Anwar will be furthering his studies at MADINAH by Mid-October. So we will be having a NEW YDO soon insyaallah.

This event is the same as ' YOUTH IN-CHARGE ' but we just change the name to make it more interesting and exciting. It will be on 10 SEPTEMBER 2009, Thursday during the September holidays. Youths will be in-charge for almost all the stuff in the mosque; imam and bilal for prayers, preparation of bubur, etc.
