Assalamualaikum dear brother and sisters of Islam ,
here a short yet sweet sharing from us,

Once the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) was asked, "What person can be the best friend?" "He who helps you remember Allah (SWT), and reminds you when you forget Him," the Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), counselled.

In this modern and advanced society, we met many different kind of people in our life , those who we called friends or companionship. At times we struggled to realise whether he/she is trustworthy or righteous. Find a companion/friend who brings you close to Allah s.w.t and constantly reminds you of your duty as a Muslim , avoid those who might lead you astray.

“A person is likely to follow the faith of his friend, so look whom you befriend” (Abu Dawood & At-Tirmidhee)

The above mentioned hadith shows that we should avoid taking the misguided as friends as we too will adopt their behaviour and habits and thereby imitate certain characteristics of their disbelief. On the other hand, being close to the righteous leads to inheriting good manners and moral conduct.
